  a letter

  Dear Prince Charming,

  Wherever you may be, I figured you should read this letter, in the off-chance that I might someday cross your path. 

  Anyway, there are a few things I want to discuss. They’re important, so listen up:

  1. I like to be cuddled. I don’t care if it’s outside or inside. We could be at a baseball game, or in front of a bonfire. I don’t care. Just knowing that you cared enough to put your arm around me makes me feel special.
  2. Remind me that I’m beautiful. It’s not because I’m fishing for compliments. It’s because I don’t always feel beautiful, so it’s nice for someone to boost me up when I’m feeling anything but spectacular. 
  3. Return my love and affection. If I’m going the extra mile for you, to make sure you’re happy, please do the same for me every once in a while. A relationship is a two-way street. 
  4. Holding my hand is a really sweet gesture. It makes me aware that you’re right there next to me, and makes me feel like together, we can do anything. 
  5. I like forehead kisses. To me, it’s such a comforting feeling. It’s not necessarily  intimate, but I like it because it tells me that you want to take care of me, and protect me. 
  6. Be willing to try new things. Experiences are what make a person. You’ve gotta be willing to try that weird looking dish with the funny name every once in a while. Live a little - it’s good for you.
  7. Laughter is key. If you can make me laugh, then you’re good in my books. That’s the key to my heart. 

  I’m not necessarily asking for much, but if you could somehow find a way to me, that’d be great, because trying to find you isn’t getting any easier as I get older.

  third wheel

  Lately, I’m the only single person I know. All of my friends and sisters that I’m close to have boyfriends. That’s not an exaggeration. ALL of them. Guess who’s stuck being the funny girl to bring on the side? This bitch.

  I’m not the type of girl to be all, “Ooooh boys! Look at me! I’m single!” because I think that comes off as desperate. I’m much more of a relationship type of person. I don’t like being single. When I’m single, I don’t know what to do with myself, and I get antsy. 

  I’m tired of being the extra friend. I mean, for now, maybe it’s best that I don’t rush into things with anybody, but still. It would be nice to have someone in my life.
